Governance Training

Governance Training 2026/27

The Governance Training & Development Offer for the 2026/7 school year is below. We continue to develop our offer in response to feedback and changing needs. We are confident that it offers excellent value for money and a comprehensive offer to all schools, academies and trusts.

Governance Briefings

Our briefings share key messages at a local & national level to keep everyone involved in governance in Sheffield and Rotherham well-informed and supported.

Each session will include keynote speakers, before splitting into separate areas for local inputs for Sheffield and Rotherham.

All briefings are held online and are free to all governors and trustees. We recommend that every school/trust board sends a representative to each briefing, to then report back in their next meeting.

Governance briefings sessions are held each half-term (apart from summer 2, when we hold our conference instead).
