Priority 3: Lived Experiences

The Learn Sheffield Insights Hub is focussed on four priorities and areas of work that we are undertaking with our partners. Learn Sheffield will work with partners to develop better mechanisms to understand lived experience and improve equity.

Several recent and current Learn Sheffield projects link to this priority. Click on the tabs below to find out more about them:

Outcomes Framework

The development of an Outcomes Framework is a workstream within Priority 3 of the SEND Strategy. Sheffield has worked with the CDC (Council for Disabled Children) to develop an outcomes framework. This work has been progressed by a local task and finish group.

The framework will be supported by a number of data indicators demonstrating both quantitative and qualitative evidence of whether the strategic outcomes are being met.

A number of sources (existing local dashboards, the Public Health Outcomes Framework and the LA Local Outcomes Framework) will be used, and we will also trial using SenseMaker from Autumn 2026 to collect the perspective of children and young people to provide the qualitative evidence of how outcome measures are being met.
