Sheffield Primary Relationships and Health Education Curriculum Update
Published: 16 September 2026
The Sheffield Primary Relationships and Health Education Curriculum 2026 has been delayed at the start of term. We will now be releasing a first draft on Thursday 1 October and then aim to have all the content completed by the end of October half term.
Learn Sheffield have shared an update on progress with the development of the Sheffield Primary Relationships and Health Education Curriculum 2026. This has been delayed due to ill-health over the summer break, and we are sorry that this led to a delay in the publication of the curriculum at the start of term.
All the writing for the Relationships and Health and Wellbeing sections are now complete, and we are now in the process of compiling the overview documents. We will be releasing a first draft on Thursday 1 October and then aim to have all the content completed by the end of October half term.
We will be holding a meeting online from 3.30- 5pm on Thursday 1 October to take staff through the process. This session will explain how staff can check that they have the most current versions going forward.
We will then take comments and suggestions before publishing a final update early in the Spring term. As previously, this will include some city level consultation activities.
