Raising Attainment- the Role of GovernorsTraining

This training follows on from previous training on using data. It will focus on how you can support your school in raising achievement by:

• asking leaders how they are helping pupils who are falling behind
• making sure vulnerable pupils and those with SEND get the support they need
• exploring with school leaders how they use data to make accurate predictions, set ambitious targets and identify pupils who need interventions
• understanding the barriers to achievement and how they may be different in different subjects
• exploring why pupils might attain differently in different subjects
• making sure teaching approaches enable pupils to achieve well
