Communication Service
The Communications Service, as part of the Learn Sheffield subscription, is currently under review.
If a subscribing school requires crisis comms support, until this review is completed, they should contact Stephen Betts (Stephen.betts@learnsheffield.co.uk) or call 0114 250 7417.
The communications offer to schools and academies from Learn Sheffield and Sheffield City Council were merged into one communications package from September 2019. This ensures an improved offer to schools, combining our strengths and making the offer available within the core Learn Sheffield subscription to ensure that more schools and academies can benefit when they are in need of support.
The pages below tell you more about the ‘crisis comms’ offer, the other services that are available and most importantly, how to contact the service if you need support.

Crisis Comms
Sometimes things go wrong and that can lead to problems with public perception and the reputation of your school or academy.
We have experts in managing crisis communications, and work with other organisations to provide help if the worst were to happen, including many of Sheffield’s schools.
This service is now jointly provided by Learn Sheffield and Sheffield City Council bringing together education and communication expertise.
If you are involved with something which might cause problems in the media, please get in touch, even before you hear from any media.
