LGBT History Month

LGBT History Month is celebrated nationally throughout February and in Sheffield many events are planned to acknowledge how far equality for LGBT+ people has come, and the challenges people still face today.

Black History Month

October is Black History Month, which is the annual commemoration of the history, achievements and contributions of Black people in the UK. Black History Month provides an ideal opportunity for everyone to learn about Black History and to celebrate diversity in our society.

Anti Bullying week

In England, Anti-Bullying Week is organised by the Anti-Bullying Alliance (ABA) , which is made up of about 140 member organizations. Anti-Bullying Week 2019 is happening from Monday 11th November - Friday 15th November 2019 and it has the theme 'Change Starts With Us'.

As a City, Sheffield is proud of its diversity and the City Council supports or promotes a range of equality events and festivals. They help to provide a shared understanding and awareness of equality.

Some event dates change from year to year – some take place on the same day every year. The 2019 dates are below. These will soon be updated for 2020 dates.
