3 More Sessions Added To COVID Recovery Festival

Three further additional sessions are being added to the festival programme - all happening this week! The sessions will cover early reading and phonics, the EEF planning guide and how the Science hub can support recovery curriculum planning.

Three more additional sessions are being added to the festival programme for this week:

  •  Early reading & phonics: classroom delivery and remote learning     Wednesday 16th September at 2:00pm

Andrew Truby and Lucy McKerrow from the English Hub and Learning Unlimited TSA will consider approaches to early reading and phonics in the light of COVID restrictions and the context of a recovery curriculum. This will include considering classroom delivery and remote learning when pupils are not able to be in school.

 

  • The EEF guide to supporting school planning - an overview     Thursday 17th September at 10:00am

 Julie Kettlewell is Assistant Director of Huntington Research School and will lead this session reviewing the EEF guidance around planning in the context of COVID. Using the recently published EEF guide to supporting school planning she will explore how research can support our decision making.  

 

  • How your local Science Hub can support your COVID recovery planning      Friday 18th September at 12:00pm

 Tim Clark and Jenni Monnach from the Science Learning Partnership at Hallam TSA will discuss how our local science hub and the STEM network can support COVID recovery in science across both primary and secondary.
