Student Wellbeing Resource Now Available

The Student Wellbeing Resource has now been launched. It has been developed in partnership by Learn Sheffield, Sheffield City Council and a range of statutory and voluntary sector partners. It aims to support education professionals in their efforts to support children and young people to overcome the barriers to learning that they face.
Autumn 2 Leaders Briefing Booking Open

The next Leaders' Briefing will take place on Wednesday 13 December (8:30-11:00 at the Pennine Lecture Theatre, SHU). The topics will be an update from the Regional Schools Commissioner (John Edwards) and a guide to EEF Resources for schools (James Richardson - EEF & Alex Quigley and Jane Elsworth - Huntington Research School).
RE Conference (24 Nov 2017) Bookings Open

The 2017 RE Conference, which has been organised by Learn Sheffield on behalf of Sheffield SACRE, will be held at the Learn Sheffield Hub (all day) on Friday 24 November. The event is aimed at colleagues from both primary and secondary settings this year. During the morning we will hear from three superb speakers (Aaqil Ahmed, Fiona Moss and Waqar Ahmad Ahmedi) and in the afternoon Fiona will lead a session for primary colleagues and Waqar will lead a session for colleagues from a secondary background.
Sheffield SEND Conference (17 Nov 2017)

The School SEND Conference (Friday 17 November - AM and PM sessions available) has been organised by the Inclusion Task Force, Sheffield City Council and Learn Sheffield. All Sheffield Headteachers and SENCOs are invited to this free information event, which also features a keynote from Lesley Cox (formerly national Ofsted SEND Lead).

Secondary Commission - Once in a lifetime chance!

Inherited Cities is a fantastic opportunity for 3 secondary schools and their students. In July 2018, Third Angel and Sheffield Theatres will present Inherited Cities, a performance that explores a vision for the future based on the reality of today. This will be a high profile performance in The Crucible Studio and Sheffield city centre by young people for young people and a truly unique learning opportunity for all involved. Inherited Cities is a Third Angel and Sheffield Theatres collaboration and made possible by funding from Arts Council England. This will enable this opportunity to be FREE to each of the three schools (actual cost £5000)!
Sheffield aims to become the first #periodpositive city!
